We’re often contacted by residents with regard to the recycling bins in the car park behind the post office in the High Street. These are commonly overflowing, with recycling either dumped alongside or strewn on the ground near the bins.
This has increasingly become more common since the temporary closure of the Waldo Road recycling centre in Bromley.
We have raised this will the local neighbourhood officer who has agreed that larger bins will soon be provided to try and prevent the current problems.
They are also going ask the contractors, Veolia, to empty them more regularly than they do at present.
We are hopeful, these steps should help alleviate the problem.
